Brooks County Legal professional: "Public Look After Optimistic Assessments Could Trigger Arrest" – KIIITV.com
Brooks County's lawyer David Garcia announced on Saturday that anyone who appears in public and knows that he has been exposed or has COVID-19 can be arrested unless he seeks medical help.
His post on Facebook states that anyone who tested positive for COVID-19 and then did not test negative must isolate themselves from others until they get a negative result.
Garcia said a violation of the law cited Texas Penal Code 22.05 (a):
"A person commits a crime if they recklessly engage in behaviors that put another person in immediate danger of serious physical harm."
The determination that the victim does not need to receive COVID-19, but only needs to be suspended without warning.
He said victims of this type of exposure could contact any law enforcement agency or Brooks County Prosecutor.
Three messages have been addressed to the Brook District Attorney but received no response.
