Two former assistant district attorneys open central Pa. legislation agency

Two former assistant district attorneys with the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office have teamed up to open their own law firm.

Jonathan Chieppor and Alexander Egner opened Chieppor & Egner LLC last month at 53 N. Duke St., Suite 303 in Lancaster.

The firm focuses on criminal defense, family law, and personal injury law.

“Chieppor and Egner are bringing their years of experience in Lancaster County courtrooms as a resource for their clients,” the company said in a press release.

Egner and Chieppor were both born and raised in Lancaster,

Chieppor was the former head of Lancaster County’s auto theft task force. He was trained in standard field sobriety tests, conducted several trials including the most serious of offenses, and averaged a case load of over 200 cases at one time, the press release said. Chieppor is also a boys varsity basketball referee.

Egner is a former military police officer. He was a general trial attorney in the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office and his assignments included firearms restoration, expungement of criminal charges, Welfare fraud cases, and adult criminal charges.

“We are dedicated to seeing the best outcome for members of our community,” Egner said. “The people who come into our office on Duke Street are friends, they are neighbors, and protecting their rights is essential to our mission.”
